and in the wake of this success, they played - in Germany alone - over 30 concerts at the time.
And a support tour to electro/goth band The Crüxshadows.
The tracks "London", "Heart Of Glass" and "40 Days" all reached a top ten position in the German alternative charts (DAC),
and Afterglow was voted as "Album Of The Year" in the Belgian magazine Dark Entries. At home (Sweden),
it was named as this year's "best albums of the genre" by Zero Magazine.
The Exploding Boy is often compared to newer bands like Interpol and The Mary Onettes,
but also with more classic acts like The Cure and Joy Division.
With "The Black Album" (2011) The Exploding Boy take their music even further. They have taken some extra steps,
again developed and refined their style and their connection with the alternative sound. The release of "The Black Album"
took The Exploding Boyon yet another European tour, with an official release party at King Kong Klub in Berlin.
The first single (digital download) from the album was "Human", that went directly into 9:th place on the official
German Alternative Charts (DAC), and stayed there for several weeks hitting a top 3 position at it´s best.
A second tour in 2011 took the band to places as Vienna (AT), Bratislava (SK) and Amstelveen (NL)
and to German cities like Freiburg, Siegen and Bielefeld among others.
In October 2011 the band supported ex-Bauhaus singer Peter Murphyand gained top reviews.
On November 8:th 2011 the new album was released in North America through Vendetta Music,
including four bonustracks taken from the ”Afterglow” album.
A new single will be releaes in the beginning of 2012, and a ”summer festival tour”
will take the band to Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT), Blackfield Festivaland Nordstern Festival ...to name but a few.
